Maruca Designs is a small, intimate studio nestled in the foothills of Boulder, Colorado. It is there that our custom designed bags are created in limited editions All textiles are woven in the U.S. and every bag is hand cut and sewn, kindly here at home in Boulder. All are artistically patterned with an appealing mix of colors.

Our bags are made from a fabric called “Jacquard”…an intricately woven pattern using a special loom in the weaving process. The fabric patterns begin with drawings, cut paper, collage and re-worked imagery. We then collaborate with brilliant textile designers from smaller independent U.S. fabric mills, who then bring our vision into fruition. The content of our fabrics can vary; the threads are cottons, rayon and synthetics—many of which are from recycled plastic

Our bags are designed for women of all ages and preferences. Not driven by trend, heeding the advice from our followers and endless reconnaissance, our functional shapes are designed to actually work in your life.
