Sharon Kaplan (Los Angeles, CA)

Sharon Kaplan is a Los Angeles-based  jewelry maker – a graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology in Los Angeles.  One of her specialties is handmade enameled jewelry set in fine silver. Kaplan uses the multistep Champlevé technique in which enamel is inserted into incised ridges then fired and finished.  Her line of delicate enamel heart pendants and earrings featured on this page is a lovely example.

Kaplan’s pieces have adorned celebrities including Anne Hathaway, Megan Fox, Frances McDormand and Elle Fanning.

The pendant chains are 18” sterling silver and the hearts on both the pendants and earrings are ¾.”  The earrings hang on simple sterling silver French wires.
