Everyday Artifact (Santa Fe, NM)

Jeff Ryan and Barbara Edelman are the designers and creators of Everyday Artifact – a line of lovely sterling silver pendants produced in their Santa Fe, New Mexico studio. The pendants represent a unique photographic expression celebrating everyday life.

The images are applied directly onto the silver using a proprietary technique.  The image is then coated  with a domed jewelry resin cover, adding a dimensional quality as well as protection.  The result is a simple work, rich in detail.  The goal is to produce  imagery and words that can serve as emotional anchor points. The artisans choose to work in black and white because it has a classic look that evokes both memories and timelessness.

The studio is 100% solar powered. The methods and materials used have low impact on the environment, but hopefully high impact on the human spirit.

The necklace cords are between 17″ to 19″ of braided nylon with a sterling silver clasp. The cords have the look of silk with much greater durability. The pendants are .87″ diameter (about the size of a nickel).  The pieces should be treated as most jewelry – keep away from harsh chemicals, water and direct sunlight.
